On 6th June 2013 I will embark on a four day, 460km bike ride from London to Paris in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

 

I will be riding with Catley Lakeman Securities (main sponsor) and their clients, which include a number of my colleagues at Brewin Dolphin. We have an ambitious team fundraising target but I also have a personal target of £1,000 so I have my work cut out for me!

 

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Its life-saving research is focused on finding causes, improving diagnosis and treatments, and running groundbreaking clinical trials for all blood cancer patients.

 

Geoff Thomas is an ex-Crystal Palace and England player who was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in 2003. Unlike many who do not survive this illness, Geoff battled back to health thanks to a life saving bone marrow transplant from his sister. Since recovering from his illness, Geoff has dedicated his life to raising money to fund blood cancer treatment.

 

I am excited to cycle alongside Geoff once again and do what we can to raise the awareness of such a worthy cause.

 

Meeting our team target will be not be easy, but with your support for such a life changing charity, we can help Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to continue supporting sufferers of blood cancer.
