London 2 Paris: Inspiring the Revolution 2016 · 19 May 2016 to 23 May 2016 ·

With a new blood cancer diagnosis every 27 seconds worldwide, Cure Leukaemia funds research nurses at UK blood cancer centres, giving patients access to treatments through clinical trials. This support drives global significant advancements in blood cancer, impacting those affected by the disease.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am riding the 477.57km from London to Paris over four days, from 19 May 2016 to raise money for Cure Leukaemia.

Cure Leukaemia is a charity with close links to Brewin Dolphin, the company I work for, and uses its funds directly towards improving the lives of the 30,000 diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK each year.

I haven’t owned (or properly ridden) a bike since leaving university in 1998, so this challenge may not be as straightforward for me as it first seemed. Having now purchased a bike, I have started training in the hope of getting sufficiently fit enough to make it to Paris without medical assistance. Hitting my sponsorship target will certainly spur me on when the going gets tough(er)!

As I am sure you know, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. All of the money raised goes direct to Cure Leukaemia.
