Dee and I did the 10k run on Saturday 30th June as we couldn't make 8th July with the rest of the gang - so you can send your money knowing that we have actually done it - supervised and encouraged by Mike and Lucy McNulty in Bushey Park. Thanks Mike and Lucy! Thanks especially to Dee for all her encouragement in training - and congratulations on her time of 1 hour 23 minutes in her first 10k run!

What was it like? I can't remember when I last ran further than the local pub (35 yards from my front door) but it must have been when I was at school, and therefore I must have been 16... that's almost 40 years ago! I ran too enthusiastically in training... and tore a ligament. So my run was more of a hobble than a sprint, not that a sprint was ever on the cards! I was pleased with my time of 1 hour 26 mins, and had a very enjoyable morning, though it has to be said that the high point was the bacon roll at the finish.
