REACT is a disaster response charity that provides direct humanitarian action, in the fastest time, to those hardest to reach and most vulnerable.

Story

RE:ACT is a disaster response charity working in the UK and overseas. They repurpose the skills and experience of military veterans and blue-light workers and turn them into agile and resilient humanitarians, capable of rapidly deploying when people need immediate and
urgent relief.

I’m walking 1,200 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats in support of Operation PACE, RE:ACT’s response to the Ukraine conflict. Since the conflict
began, more than ten million people have been displaced and
hundreds of thousands of civilians are trapped with little food and water, and often without access to essential services and medication.

RE:ACT are collaborating closely with Ukrainian NGOs to
rapidly respond to specific needs defined by the Ukrainian people. At present, those needs are four-fold:

  1. Food
  2. Water
  3. Power sources
  4. People to keep supply chains moving

I’ve set my fundraising target at £12,000. That's £1` for every mile I have walked. This could provide over 400
Ukrainian families with food for a week, or supply five generators to
hospitals, health centres and educational institutions to ensure life-saving medical treatments continue and access to education is reinstated as quickly as possible for thousands of children.

One of the medical centres already using a RE:ACT generator is Irpin Primary Care Centre and you can watch their Head Doctor, Dr Andrii Levkivskyi, speaking about his team's experience of the conflict here.

Your very kind donations will support those
most in need in Ukraine. Thank you.
