Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On 10th July I will be attempting the "Etape du Tour" cycle race in aid of Get Kids Going! Get Kids Going! is a National charity which aims to give disabled children the opportunity to participate in sport - something which many of us take for granted.
This year's Etape du Tour covers the same route as Stage 15 of the Tour de France. For more details please see http://rapha.screen-play.net/index.php?page=183. With the Col d'Izoard and the Col du Lautaret along the route, and the Alpe d'Huez climb (the most infamous ascent in world cycling) thrown in at the end, the 187km alpine stage will be one of the harder Etapes in recent years. If I manage to stay ahead of the "sweep up truck" (this picks up any riders averaging under, er, 19km/h), I estimate that the race will take between 9 and 10 hours!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Get Kids Going! will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many many thanks for your support.
