On 1^st June, I am running the Dublin women’s mini-marathon (10k) in memory of my cousin Caoimhe and her son Oscar, and to raise money for the cot death charity the Lullaby Trust. The Lullaby Trust provides specialist support for bereaved families and anyone affected by a sudden infant death. She ran this event several times after the death of her son Oscar in 2007, and I had promised her I would run it with her one day – in fact I had planned to do it this June - I just never got the chance to tell her before she sadly and unexpectedly passed away last October. So instead, I am running with several of her family and friends in my attempt to make good on my promise.
