My sister Sharon and I are cycling 1000 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats for 'Children with Cancer UK'. We are not afraid to say that we are two old dears......both in our mid 60's with aches and pains like everybody else. We only took up cycling in 2015. We are both young at heart and hopefully that and the hard training we have been doing for the last 12 months will see us get through the biggest physical challenge we will probably ever do.

Over the last few years we are very proud to have raised over £22,000 for 'Children with Cancer UK' but this year as it is the last major event we will be doing for the Charity, we want to go out with a bang.....not literally!  Our target is set at £22,000, I know it's a lot of money which will not be easy to raise but with your help and support anything is possible. If you could help us make more people aware of the Challenge and sponsor us while we complete this epic 3 week journey we and 'Children with Cancer UK' will be forever grateful.

As many of you willl know I lost my beloved eldest son Christopher to an inoperable brain tumour at the tender age of 6. He was a bubbly bright boy with a wicked sense of humour. He never complained about life and all the things he had to go through to help him with his
battle. Christopher would have been 40 on the 19th October 22. So much time has passed and so many happy and sad times have come and gone through this period but the weight of pain of losing him never goes away, it just becomes easier to carry.

At 'Children with Cancer UK' they actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. The vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell - now wouldn't that be wonderful.

We ask for sponsorship not for ourselves but for the 'Charity' to help them develop new ways of combatting this terrible disease called 'cancer' and to help families to stay together during the emotional rollercoaster it takes them through. If you have helped us before we thank you and if this is the first time you have supported us we thank you to, IT WILL make a difference.

All funds raised no matter how big or small are very much appreciated and in return I can promise you we will complete our epic challenge with smiles on our faces and probably a few tears in our eyes.
