We help people with a learning disability to live their lives as they choose.

Story

A group of Lands Securities, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield and Head Retail 'cyclists' will be cycling circa 120 miles from Bluewater to Gunwharf Quays in a day on 26th June in aid of Mencap.

Sounds easy?  Not really, especially if you are tackling some of the route off road, along the Avenue Verte and South Downs Way or you aren't a keen regular cyclist.  This is a challenge for everyone taking part and it all has to be completed within 18 hours (between sun rise at about 4am, and sun set at about 10pm).

Mencap is the UK's leading learning disability charity and was chosen by Land Securities as their charity partner as we feel they offer us a partnership that will help us challenge preconceptions of learning disability. The partnership is as much about increasing awareness of the capabilities of people with a learning disability, as it is about fundraising.

Mencap challenges stereotypes through its Young Ambassadors programme, which features young people with learning disabilities and focuses on what they can do, rather than what they can’t do.  We are aiming to raise funds to support 100 Young Ambassadors through their programme which gives them access to work experience opportunities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
