Every survivor will recall what was happening in their life the moment they learned they had breast cancer. Melanie McCallum was away at a business meeting, had just celebrated her 50th birthday and was looking forward to a Caribbean trip with friends. Melanies swift treatment at CMH included a mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery with Dr. Heather MacLeod and Dr. Katherine Sawa. She now looks forward to enjoying many years with her husband and children. Melanie wants to ensure that other patients have the same access to care... and so do I!
