I am running the Great North Run for The Sick Children Trust. When our beautiful baby was born, we didn't realise that he had a rare Congenital Heart Defect. When it was discovered, we were rushed to hospital and had to spend the next 4 weeks there for many tests and life saving operations. The one saving grace during this extremely tough time was that we were able to stay at Scott House by the Freeman Hospital and essentially be always within 10 minutes of our little boy's bed. This was invaluable to us not only for our sanity but also so we could make sure we were there for Joseph. I would like to give a little something back to the Sick Children Trust to say thank you for making such a hard time a little easier.
