Story
In October the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) was called out in response to a road accident in Swanmore to rescue 11 year old Felix Barrow. He received vital medical treatment on site before being flown to Southampton Hospital where he remains in a stable condition and is becoming more aware each day.
Every day the Air Ambulance crew provide an efficient, prompt response to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses, and many other incidents throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The Helicopter is called out many times per day, and these missions are often life saving.
HIOWAA receives no government, statutory or National Lottery funding for routine operations, relying entirely on the generosity of the people and businesses of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.
Felix and his family are very close family friends and his mother Vanessa also works with me delivering local fitness classes for Inspire Me Fit.
This December instead of our usual Christmas drinks we have decided to do what we do best, get you exercising! On Saturday 19th December you are welcome to join us at 8am for an early Park Workout at Broad Lane Recreation Ground Swanmore, followed by Coffee and Croissants at Barnaby’s. Children are very welcome but will be your responsibility. You will need to be reasonably healthy to take part but if the workout isn't for you then why not get together with others on the day to do a walk and meet us at Barnaby's for coffee.
The event is free to attend but donations towards the Air Ambulance that provided Felix with such timely and urgent treatment would be welcomed and encouraged.

We'd love to see you on the 19th. Please post up on the Inspire Me Fit Facebook page so we can make sure we order in enough croissants! Don't forget your hat!
