The ILEAP Charity empowers people with Additional Needs to have lots of opportunities for fun and friendship by taking part in inclusive leisure activities in the heart of the community. ILEAP provides a level playing field, for our Members to enjoy a safe and fulfilled leisure time.

Story

The Lyke Wake Walk is a 42 mile challenge walk across the highest and widest part of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.  It has to be completed within a 24 hour period.

On Saturday 26th June, my father Peter, brother Neil, husband Ian and sister Charlotte are going to attempt this walk and have been training for the last few months.  They are respectively, Elliot's Granddad, who turned 80 this year!!, his Uncle, Father and Auntie.  Elliot is severely autistic and has complex learning difficulties. They are hoping to raise valuable funds for Elliot's chosen charity, Ileap, of which he is a member and who have supported him to access activities in the community with his peer group for many years.  Ileap are a local charity based in Stratford Upon Avon and have, like many other charities, struggled greatly to raise funds and operate during the Covid lockdowns.

This is an epic challenge and any donations to support the efforts of Peter, Neil, Ian and Charlotte will be greatly appreciated.
