Thanks to everyone who sponsored me.  I completed the Great North Run in 1 hour 53 minutes.  It was a wonderful day and a great run.  The long hill at the end was tough but the finish by the oceon was lovely and the Red Arrows were fantastic.  My fundraising total including the donations on my 10k page and all offline donations, is £330. I am running the Great North Run in September for York Against Cancer in memory of my Mum Penny Niklaus.  I am trying to raise 300 pounds for the charity.  I recently ran the York 10k for York Against Cancer and fell short of my fundraising target (for info see my other just giving page) so I am carrying on with the fundraising as promised until I smash the original target!  

I am aiming to run the course in under 2 hours, although I hear the race has a steady incline; not good for training in flat York!
