Story
I am so excited to be taking part in this bungee jump for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
I was nearly a GOSH baby myself as I was born very ill and they even considered flying me into Great Ormond Street by helicopter from my local hospital but I wouldn't have survived the journey.
Although I never made it to Great Ormond Street, they are an amazing charity who provide help and support to some of the sickest children and their families. So please support me in this bungee jump for them.
Here are just some things your money could buy.
- £2 could buy a box of microscope slides to help examine life-threatening illnesses and look for ways to beat disease.
- £21 covers the cost of a flowmeter which makes sure that children get the right amount of oxygen.
- £44 provides hospital accommodation for a patient's family, allowing them to stay close to the child while they are in hospital.
- £99 funds a specialist chemical measuring tools to let scientists find out the size of DNA molecules which can help beat childhood diseases.
- £766 funds a dedicated playworker for a week, they help children cope with the physical and emotional stress of being ill.
- £1081 covers the cost of a sofa bed, allowing a parent to stay close to their child and offer them comfort
- £1421 funds a portable heart monitor so that doctors can keep an eye on the child's heart beat.
Thank you very much
