Creating Better Futures provides access to education for orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe. For every £100 of funds raised could feed 100 children for a week. We are run mostly by volunteers and work directly, so your funds go further, helping to impact thousands of children's lives

Story

I am so grateful for the donations so far, together we are winners, poverty can be beaten.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When I visited Zimbabwe , I met someone special called Precious  a 16 yr old girl with severe physical and learning disability through Creating better Futures, which changed my perspective to life completely.

Precious has so many needs but I am aware that I am not able to meet all her needs  at present but when I met Precious I was persuaded in my heart that I can make a little difference and bring a little smile on both Precious and her committed mothers' faces. I know I might not be able to change the world but I can bring a change in precious' world. My friends and colleagues  I would like you to be part of this special revolution. This is only a start , but my dream is to see Precious going to a special needs school  and all her  basic life needs met one day in this life.

Precious is a 16yr old girl with severe learning and physical disability with epilepsy, she has never talked, walked or a chance to go to school. She lives with her elderly mother in their rural home with no electricity or running water. The mother uses pieces of fabric for her sanitary and toilet needs.  That's why I would like to support her with continent pads and wipes. She washes them for reuse.

Precious can't sit on her own so the mother supports her with blankets to allow her to sit out for a few minutes, that's why a wheel chair will very useful for her.  The mother carries her on her back to go to the local clinic miles away for her medical needs. She carries her to the fields as well and let her lie under a tree to allow the mother to work in the fields to  feed Precious otherwise she has to lock her in the house, which is not safe because of possible physical abuse that may happen.

If there is anyone out there reading this story who might say I can't change the world but I am saying to ''yes you can change the world for one person'' and as we do that the world get changed little by little.  I am praying for u guys out there that your needs will be met too as you desire to meet Precious' needs. If water passes by you as  it flows you get wet in the process too
