In June 2021 we as a family received the news that nobody wants to hear, my lovely mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer. After numerous surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy throughout the year, we received the worst news possible in June 2022 that the cancer was terminal.

For a duration of her last few months, my mum spent time in St Luke’s hospice in Sheffield where in her own words…’is the best hotel she’d ever been to - considering’

The care, compassion, kindness and support of the whole St Luke’s team was out of this world, not only towards my mum but to friends and family who visited daily. Without them, things would have been a lot more difficult, so thank you!
