PARAs 10 · 11 September 2011

The Afghanistan Trust gives assistance to soldiers of The Parachute Regiment who were wounded in action, or the dependants of those killed in action in Afghanistan. It achieves this through financial and welfare support. It also sustains the memories of the loss of life and sacrifices made

Story

Three team members are from Deloitte and one is a serving member of the Parachute Regiment.  As a four man team we will complete the PARAs 10 Challenge, in order to raise money for the Afghanistan Trust.

The PARAs 10, is a replication of one of the fundamental tests to become a British Army Paratrooper.  In short, 10 miles with a bergan (rucksack) weighing 35 lbs, in boots and within one hour and fifty minutes.

This is a arduous physical challenge that many serving soldiers (wishing to become paratroopers) fail to pass.

The three team members from Deloitte have had no military training and so this will constitue an extreme physical and mental test.

All team members are very busy with their own professional and personal lives. However, all are spending precious free time training together.

Please give generously, to this great cause.

Thank You

Jon and the team
