Nearly 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve disease. Through the incredible medical team I was blessed to work with - I underwent successful open heart surgery to repair the Mitral valve. After a few months of recovery - I found I could do almost everything and more! Thanks to all the research and advancement in heart surgery - I am able to ride today and live a normal and fulfilling life.
