Six years ago, my aunt was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Following treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, she was placed into remission for 2 years with regular mammograms for monitoring.  

Sadly my aunt is one of the victims of false negatives in mammograms. The cancer was missed throughout the period she was placed into remission.

This time the diagnosis was a metastasised tumor (stage 4) and have found to have spread to her lymph nodes. It is devastating to learn that she had only just won an intial courageous battle, not the war. 

Throughout these 6 years Breast Cancer Care has helped my aunt by providing information and support whenever needed.
