Hi I’m Derren and I’m 6 years old 👍🏼

After Christmas and my birthday my mammy and daddy told me how lucky I was and that I should start thinking about doing a fundraiser. I thought about it and told them I’d like to do a bake sale to raise money for us to go on a holiday. 

Mammy and daddy started telling me about different charities and I decided to do a cake sale for Wicklow Hospice. Then everything shut down and we weren’t allowed have cake sale, so we started thinking of different things I could do. My mammy told me if I did something really hard people might give me money for my charity. I told her I found cleaning really hard and that I could go clean other peoples houses, but I forgot I couldn’t do that at the moment either. 

So I decided to do a sponsored silence for a full 30 minutes because I love talking and it’s going to be really hard for me to stay quiet. We are hoping I’ll be able to sit on my porch so anyone who walks past the house can see how hard I’m working to stay quiet.
