Story
The Ribbon Walk is an annual event. It is a great way to have fun, keep fit, make new friends, but above all to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, a fantastic charity supporting people with Breast Cancer.
I have walked the 20-mile Ribbon Walk twice before. In 2006 I walked the Oxfordshire route in 5:48 and then in 2008 completed the Sussex walk in 4:56. This year I am walking both routes (8th and 22nd May) and hope to complete each in under five hours.
Breast Cancer can affect any of us, male or female, young or old. I appreciate there are many sponsored events happening, therefore if you choose not to sponsor me, I hope your money is going to another worthwhile cause.
My motivation this year will be thinking of my friends Sally, who has beaten breast cancer, and Sue, who is currently being treated. I love them both dearly and hope that the money I raise will help many more people like them.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
