My name is Devon, I'm 21 years old currently studying at the University of Plymouth, and I have  Crohn's disease. 

My Story

I had suffered from symptoms of serious pains in my lower abdomen, difficulty in eating among other things for a matter of years. I was stubborn to admit something was wrong, I figured it would disappear in a matter of days or weeks... but it didn't.

After a year, I had finally admitted defeat and went to see a GP. After various tests and samples spanning over two years, I got a diagnosis... it was Crohn's disease.

I didn't know what it was, nor how much it would go to impact my life. The medication I would have to take, the restrictive diet in an attempt to reduce my symptoms, and the extensive hospital appointments. To this day, most of my friends ask me what this disease is and how it affects my life.

I was clueless about what I was doing or who to go to for support, but with thanks to Crohn's and Colitis UK and my family and the support they give, I know more about my condition and what I can do. I have never felt alone. 

Please help me raise money so Crohn's and Colitis UK can continue supporting people and help find a cure! No-one deserves to feel alone.
