Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Well, a bunch of over ambitious R&D MAMILS (middle aged men in lycra) have decided to test their resolve and fitness by taking part in the `Etape Pennines` which is a  closed road 78 mile Spotive cycle race over the Durham hills. With over 2300m of ascent, this will be a lumpy ride which we aim to complete as a "team" in less than 5 hours.

More importantly we are doing this to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Many of us will have been touched by the impact of cancer at some time or other, maybe personally, a family member or friend. Whilst the treatment of cancer continually improves, for many it can still have a devasting effect. Your donation to the Marie Curie Trust will help provide relief and care for those impacted by the effects of cancer.

DePuy CSR have very kindly agreed to match our £750 target which means that we aim to raise a total of £1500. Please donate what you can to help Marie Curie continue to provide essential support to those impacted by cancer.

Apart from any donations that you make directly, we will also be organising various fund raising events to contribute to wards our target. Your support in these events will also be greatly appreciated

Many thanks
