After wanting to do a London Marathon but conveniently finding this shortcut in only having to complete half with all the sights still available to see I felt it was a no brainer to do the London Landmarks Half Marathon on April 2nd 2023. 

One thing Dexter taught me was that we'll never know how strong our body is until we push it to the max. That's why I have decided to undertake this challenge.

Dexter was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma in late October 2016 after a short period of severe tummy pain. over the course of his 16month treatment Dexter had many ups and downs, the ups including His make a wish(being a magician for the day), Living in London for a month (Whilst on treatment), receiving art from all over the world and many breaks away and days out when possible. The downs including 2 stays in intensive care, septicaemia, pneumonia, a collapsed lung and losing his sight to name a few. Dexter sadly lost his battle on the 17th February peacefully with his mum and dad by his side.

This day is looking to raise money for Dexters charity (Dexters odyssey - Registered Charity Number 1178623) to help relieve financial strain through providing gift vouchers for use in businesses local to the hospital and help in creating family memories by providing days out in the local area.
