I turned 50 on 25 Jan and also recently became a Patron for SIFA Fireside, Birmingham's main day centre for homeless and vulnerably housed adults. So I'm taking the opportunity to mark these two milestones to help raise some funds to support their fabulous work. 

I'm not asking you to dig too deep - approximately 50p can provide a meal for someone who is homeless in Birmingham. Imagine if everybody I know and beyond donated a minimum of 50p! Just think 50p for 1 meal, £1 for 2, £5 for 10 - you get the picture! Unfortunately, the minimum donation you can make on Just Giving is £2 - but that's 4 meals straightaway! 

I've deliberately set the target low, 50 meals at 50p to mark my 50th birthday - but I know that with your help we can far exceed that. In case you need any more convincing, here's a bit more about SIFA Fireside and the work they do (from their website):

They need people to fight for their rights. In Birmingham, many adults are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Rough sleeping is on the rise here, and so is the number of adults facing homelessness.
