We raise funds to support schools for children in Kenya

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I am once again running the Manchester 10k to raise funds for Schools for Kenya, a registered charity of which I am a Trustee.

We are currently raising funds to build teachers' houses at the school we have built and also dormitories for the boys and girls.

I am hoping to travel to Kenya in November this year with some of my fellow Trusteesnto meet with the team from the Born Free Foundation with whom we work and, of course, the children and their families plus the teaching staff.

Following that visit we will be deciding where best to spend the funds we have raised.

The children we are providing for have typically travelled miles through the bush to gain an education and are currently sleeping in temporary dormitories.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We have two schools in Kenya, both in remote locations in Masai territory. Our primary school is located in Ol Moti, near the Tanzanian border. Approaching 400 children attend this school. Our secondary school is in Lenkisem near Amboseli National Park.
