We did it.....a great day, weather good, and with a brilliant musical finish.

 Thank you to those who sponsored me and for anyone else who would like to the page is active until the end of August. My target has been exceded and a further £300 was raised by Marlborough Rotarians and will be split between three of us.

It is hoped that the event will raise in excess of £20.000 for Prospect Hospice.

On July 9th I am taking part in a 20 mile sponsored walk to raise money for Prospect Hospice through the LHSF. The walk begins at Avebury and follows a track across the Marlborough Downs via Marlborough and Ogbourne rising to the Ridgeway. After a musical lunch at Barbury Castle we continue along the Ridgeway and back to Avebury in time for a rock Concert. Some musicians will accompany the walkers and others will join them for the evening concert. Musicians Nick Harper, Mike Peters from The Alarm, Cy and Jamie from the Fixx, Victoria Park Rock Group and Newton Faulkner will provide the music.

Nick Harper's mother, Monica Weston (someone we knew) spent her last days in Prospect Hospice and my husband David taught Nick when he was at school.

This will be my first attempt at a sponsored walk and I hope you will feel able to support me. Being new to this my target is quite low but it would be great if I can exceed it.
