Didi's New York Marathon

I wanted to talk about it. I wanted to scream. I wanted to yell. I wanted to shout about it. But all I could whisper was: “I’m fine”
This is what depression feels like. Even if you are surrounded by many friends that adore you and would do anything they could to make you feel better, you still can’t. You can’t control it and and you can’t react to it and push those negative thoughts out of your mind.
This is of how my dearest friend Tom Searle must have felt, even with all of us surrounding him with love. Depression has taken him from us.
I have decided to take on a challenge in his memory and to raise funds for Mind, a wonderful charity supporting people with mental health problems. I will be running the New York Marathon on the 4th of November and I’d like to invite all of my friends and family to support me and help with my fundraising challenge. I’m training hard and trying my best in Tom’s memory,
He’s greatly missed by so many of us and I know he would be proud of us in our effort to support other challenged minds.
