Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

My brother Elvis Gordon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2009.  It was discovered too late as it had spread from his pancreas to his liver.  He started to have chemo but did not respond well to the treatment.  After two years of battling with cancer he sadly passed away in May 2011.

Elvis was 11 times British champion and was one of the regions best known sports stars in Judo.  We have decided to run the British 10k in his memory to raise funds on behalf of pancreatic cancer.  This will help towards funding and promoting innovative research into the disease.  The research that will lead to the development of more effective detection and treatment.
