Helping to unlock the power of communities in Ghana to ensure every child’s education.

Story

We're a team mostly from Allen & Overy. We're going to run/crawl/wade/swim 12km through a sea of Kentish mud as well as completing 20+ "military style" obstacles - ditches, walls, nets, flames, electric wires etc. While indulging in this lunatic endeavour we thought we would try and raise money for AfriKids, a Ghana based charity that works at helping to improve the lifes of vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Ghana.

AfriKids runs foster homes, schools, street children centres and works on programmes to break the cycle of child labour, poverty and child traffiking.

What makes AfriKids different is that they are a charity aiming towards complete sustainability and they work towards empowering the local population to make them indepenent from charitable handouts and western aid.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please donate and you'll get to see photos of a bunch of city folk dragging themselves through the mud, nearly drowning, electrocuting themselves and generally leaving dignity at the start line!
