Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please support us on our sponsored walk on 27th July 2014 in celebration of Kukur Tihar (Nepal’s Day of the Dog*) and at the same time raise money for three Nepalese Charities:

Community Action Nepal www.canepal.org.uk, Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre www.kathmanduarts.org and the Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre www.katcentre.org.np

* For one day each year, all dogs, including strays, are looked on with respect.  A red tika is put on the dog's forehead and a garland of flowers around its neck and it is prayed to so that it will guard the house as it guards the gates of the underworld and in so doing divert destruction away from the home.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity
