1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 8th January 2014 I sadly lost my brother, Scott Vessey aged just 50. This year we have been without him in our lives for 5 years and I don't want to remember this milestone with sadness and regret but with hope, love and memories in my heart, celebrating the wonderful time I had with him, remembering his humour, feisty personality and strength.

In celebration of Scott's life I had planned to complete 56 half marathon runs during the year and a challenge a month, but sadly after HM no 11, I have struggled to run due to a glute & hamstring injury, so am focusing on monthly challenges instead, which I hope is enough to encourage you to sponsor me.

Check out my progress via my strava page and photos uploaded onto this page https://www.strava.com/athletes/1252241

This year of challenges will be a positive and loving memorial to my dear brother, Scott and other friends and relatives that we have lost or who may battling cancer. I hope to raise lots of money and share awareness of this terrible disease, remember 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, so we must help stamp this out, please donate!

Thank you for taking the time to read my page, donating and remembering Scott with me. x
