Who is Tommys...

They fund research into pregnancy problems and provide pregnancy health information to parents. Tommy's believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They are the largest charity funding research into the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. They also provide information for parents-to-be to help them have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Each day:

• 2,129 babies are born
• 9 babies are stillborn
• 684 babies are miscarried
• 157 babies are born preterm

Tommy's exist because there is a desperate need for funding into maternal and fatal research and they are dedicated to finding answers and finding treatments to prevent these deaths happening. Let's help them make a pregnancy safer by me giving up some of my time to run this Marathon and by you lovely people to donate what you can. Together we can make a difference and save a soul or two.
