Story
Inequality affects one in five people in Leeds. Someone born into one of Leeds poorest areas today will:
- Have an average life expectancy of ten years less than someone born into one of Leeds affluent areas.
- Be more likely to be socially isolated
- Be more likely to be living with a mental health condition
- Be more likely to take their own life
To me this is completely unjust, and I want Leeds to be a place where everyone has the same opportunity. So I am taking on my greatest challenge to date and attempting to run 127 miles from Liverpool to Leeds in less than 40 hours to help to raise awareness of and money to fight inequality in Leeds.
Everything I raise will go directly to Zest, a charity working to change lives in Leeds so that the city is a better place for everyone.
