We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

It started, as I’m sure it does for most people, as a good way to get fit and get around town. However cycling has now turned into a full time hobby for me, so much so that I completed The Marmotte race last year (widely believed to be the toughest one day amateur cycle race in the world).

This year has presented me with a new challenge, to cycle the Pyrenean mountains. Starting in Biarritz we will cover 850km in 8 days with over 20,000m of climbing on mountain roads. Accompanied by 10 other brave (mad) individuals we will struggle over some of the toughest climbs in the world which will include such greats as the Tourmalet, Col d'Aubisque, Col d’Aspin and Col de Perysourde to name but a few!

Not only do I enjoy these kinds of challenges but I am also raising money for Cancer Research UK. This is for two very good reasons, both my and Katie Alice’s aunts have both received treatment for breast cancer this year and thanks to the valuable work done by these kinds of organisations they are both recovering well.

Please give generously, many thanks in advance.
