Blood Bikes Wales transports blood, plasma, platelets, samples, vaccines, donor breast-milk & any other urgently required medical items to hospitals at night, weekends and bank holidays. This service is provided free of charge, allowing the NHS to divert funds where they are needed most.

Story

In August, we lost Dr Ste Lee - a son, a brother, a partner, a friend, a doctor, a musician, a pilot, the list goes on.

Before his passing, Ste had signed up as a volunteer for Blood Bikers, combining both his love for biking with his love for medicine, and helping people.

Therefore in April, I will be running the North Wales 100km, a 100km race ran in one day, hopefully in under 15 hours, to raise money for the Blood Bikers.

I've known Ste since I was 11, and we grew up exploring Wales together, getting 3 trains and a bus just to go hiking and wild camping, plus the impromptu day trip along the A55, so this challenge seems the perfect tribute.

Any money that you donate will go straight to Blood Bikers Wales to help them support the NHS, delivering blood samples, plasma, donated human milk, documents and other items all over Wales.
