I have Type 2 Diabetes and volunteer at a charity based Gym where most of our members have heart problems and/or diabetes. I have seen first hand the terrible effects of diabetes including heart attacks and amputations.

More research is needed to reduce and eliminate the increasing rise in diabetes in the UK. The cost to the NHS is over £10 billion per year. That's 10% of the NHS budget - £25,000 every minute!
