Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October 2013 Alfie Brown was born to parents Rachael & Andy. At 10 days old Alfie was taken back into hospital as he wasn't well. He hadn't been eating well or holding any food down. After many different tests we unfortunately found out that Alfie had a brain tumour. He was soon taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital where at 16 days old he had to endure an 8 hour operation to remove as much of the tumour as possible. Initially after the surgery everything looked well and we thought he may make a full recovery. As the days past we sadly found out that Alfie's tumour was so severe that it had done more damage than first imagined. Sadly there was nothing more Alfie's parents could do for Alfie and they had to make the decision to turn off his life support machines. At 25 days old Alfie was sadly taken away from our families to fly with the angels. His parents was surrounded by all of their families at that sad moment whilst Alfie took his final breaths in his parents arms. In memory of Alfie's short time on earth and as a thank you to Ronald McDonald House & The Brain Tumour Charity we are holding a charity evening. Both charities have offered incredible help and support to everyone involved over the last 12 months.
