Sadly, she passed away on 4th November 2015 of cerebral aneurysm at her home in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

As a nurse herself for over 40 years in the Furness area at Lonsdale, Devonshire Road, High Carley, Roose and then in the private sector Risedale at Lonsdale and Risedale, Abbey Road and then retiring as a result of cancer herself, she fully supported this charity

In fact, following her retirement in her 60s, my mother raised funds for cancer charities by completing 3 bungie jumps and a firewalk. A courageous lady who will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends
