Women are still getting breast cancer and dying from it. That’s why Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have joined forces to become the UK’s largest dedicated breast cancer research charity. And with your help, together we can put an end to breast cancer, once and for all.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running for two charities, St Francis Hospice and Breast Cancer Campaign as they both offer enormous support and services to a great number of people and they rely on donations. One in 6 women are now being diagnosed with breast cancer, and as a friend said to me: "women now feel that it is not if they get it, but more often,  when they get it".

11 years ago one of my best friends died at the age of 35 from breast cancer, finding a breast lump during her second pregnancy. Since then close friends and family have been diagnosed and have received aggressive, but life saving treatment. This has all been possible through relentless research and development and of course fundraising.

For 28 years St Francis Hospice in Havering has offered professional support and understanding for patients and families amongst tranquil surroundings while creating a 'sense of family'. They offer 'hospice at home' as well as day care and inpatient services. Last year the St Francis nurses cared for 1,286 patients in the community and 367 inpatients. We need to ensure this wonderful facility is supported.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
