2010 Derby 10km · 11 April 2010 ·

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity working to create lasting equality for girls and protect the rights of all children. Plan International works with communities in over 50 countries across the world to tackle the root causes of exclusion and injustice for all children.

Story

A group of masochists within Draka UK have decided to haul their portly frames over a gruelling distances of 10 Kilometres. In order to give a reason to this madness, it was decided to raise some money for a worthy charity.

It is understandable, that with all the numerous Children in Need, comic relief, Save The Rare Animal(Dolphins/Pandas/Derby Virgins) charities, you may be all be getting charity fatigue. However this is a genuinely worthwhile cause that does a lot of good work in the UK and abroad. So please take a look at the website and give whatever you can.

You could always come along to the event to show your support, if only to have a flutter on which Draka Employee will collapse first, although I hear that the bookies have stopped taking bets on Froggy.
