Dreamflight's aim is to take children with a serious illness or disability to Orlando for the holiday of a lifetime visiting the theme parks. To bring some fun and joy to these children whose illnesses cause pain, distress and disruption to their lives.

Story

Each October, 192 children from across the UK come together to board Dreamflight’s privately-hired aircraft to Orlando. Parents are not allowed, but instead a huge volunteer team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other helpers look after the children for 10 days. Dreamflight's volunteers and supporters fundraise for the charity year-round, in order to make the trip happen.

Dreamflight is not just a holiday; it does something that medicine can’t. The children get the opportunity to discover independence, confidence, and a whole new outlook on life. Often for the first time, they realise that they are not the odd one out. They gain perspective and experience things that they never thought possible.

This year the 3 misfits have taken on the Mt Charleston Hike......in the summer. This is an 18 mile round trip climb in the Nevada heat summiting just short of 12000'. Around half the hike is spent above 10000'. It's difficulty rating is defined as 'Very Hard' and the challenge is estimated to take 8-9 hours.

Your support in helping to raise money for this amazing charity and these incredible young people is hugely appreciated.
