We provide brain injury rehabilitation to survivors and their families

Story

Team members of the group ‘Brain power’ are Harry, James, órla, Sarah and Josh. We are a group of individuals, all of whom have suffered a life-changing brain injury and face the negative effects of this on a daily basis. We have all benefited from the input of various charities, such as Headway, silver lining to name a few, that have helped and have had a positive impact to our rehabilitation and our journey to recovery.

However, there is the common trend between all members, that making and maintaining meaningful relationships and friendships has become an issue for us all as we are seen to be different, as we are not good enough for those outside our common community(brain injury). This effects us and can have a negative impact on our mental state and motivation to carry on with our rehabilitation.

Over the past few weeks we have been developing creative ideas in order to bring people of different backgrounds and life circumstances together and therefore have come up with the FanCy February Disco

A chance for all types of people to meet eachother, have fun, eat some delicious cakes, win prizes and to make new friends, all while raising money for charities that have helped us.

Please dress up as you please person with the greatest ‘disco’ outfit will win a prize. We will be having a singer named Bexx doing some singing to help raise more money. She has a great history in helping the charity Headway so we are very lucky to have her as our special guest.

Please donate from as small as possible to as much as possible it will help us all achieve the hard work we have done to help Headway Thames Valley. Thank you

The Disco date and time is 23rd of February 2023 6.30pm - 9pm

Location is: 24 Haverstock Hill, Chalk Farm, London NW3 2BQ
