Cutting my hair for charity · 28 January 2016

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

I'm cutting my hair to donate to Little Princess Trust tomorrow, and as most of you know I've had long hair forever, but I feel like somebody else needs it more than me.

The wig they could potentially make from my hair (as it fits the requirements) would be free for the charity and for the child, however, for many children the Trust has to actually purchase the most appropriate wig it can find (still free for the child).

The cost to the charity to purchase one wig is on average £350. Absolutely any amount of fundraising that you can generate towards this £350 cost will help them to continue to provide wigs to sick children.
