Story

Hi Guys!

We’re just 4 Belfast girls who want to take on a tough challenge that pushes us out of our comfort zones and we thought what better way to do it than a dander up the tallest Mountain in the world!!

We’ll be taking on a tough 12 day trek to Everest Base Camp starting Sunday 6th May. All being well our aim is to make it up to the notorious 17,600ft (5,380m) base and while we’re at it raise money for this great cause.

Action Mental Health changes the lives of those living with mental ill health and promotes resilience and well-being to future generations.

Mental ill health can come in many forms, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, alcoholism, and so on. Understanding the many types of mental illnesses and how they impact people’s lives is incredibly important, as a lot of the time these can be over looked and the sad truth is that in some instances these illnesses can even result in suicide!

One in five adults in Northern Ireland will show signs of a mental illness and when matched to 17 other countries, NI had the 2nd highest rates of mental ill-health. Many of these issues will touch very close to home for us and we would be extremely grateful if you could help support us in raising money for AMH to help their already great work being carried out in our wee country!

Thanks so much everyone- see ya at the top ✌🏽
