Story
Last year Electric Umbrella turned 3 years old and we wanted to celebrate in a different way by launching the Electric Umbrella Instrument Seller!
It's a place where pre-loved instruments can be donated either to be used in our weekly sessions or sold to raise money for the work we do using music to enrich the lives of adults with learning disabilities.
Electric Umbrella is a small charity with a big impact on the lives of its members and beyond. People with learning disabilities face all sorts of challenges and are often perceived as being less able than others. We aim to empower our members through music, helping them to develop confidence, self-esteem & to find their voice on stage, so that they can shine standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the best musicians in the country.
With weekly sessions in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and Rickmansworth, we explore the world of music and sound, giving expression to those often unheard.
To keep on making our music together we need to raise funds and that’s where the Electric Umbrella instrument seller comes into its own:- selling pre-loved instruments, tried and tested by our professional musicians and offered at reasonable prices to encourage everyone to experiment with, play and enjoy music.
We have drop off points for instruments in Tring, Berkhamstead, Rickmansworth, South Oxhey, Watford, Kings Langley, Croxley Green, Abbots Langley and Hemel Hemstead. Please find us on Facebook and message us for full details.
