"You're a Good Sport!"
That's what the sticker I got at every primary school sports day after collapsing over the line a country mile behind everyone else said. I hated those stickers and have decided to put that resentment to bed by setting myself a stupid challenge of training for my first half marathon in 8 weeks and running the full thing 8 weeks later.
If you think that's worth sponsoring me for please do. And even if you don't, please do it anyway because I'm doing all of this for a fantastic charity I've had the privilege of volunteering and working for over the last few years.
FRU is a pro bono organisation which provides free representation in the employment and social security tribunals. There is no legal aid available for FRU's clients who are challenging unfair dismissals, refusal to pay wages and workplace discrimination or appealing benefits decisions. Every year several hundred inspiringly enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers (mostly law students but some qualified lawyers) represent around 500 clients. If that's not worth a few quid what is?
I wrote a blog post on why FRU deserves your support -
