Ellie's cousin Emmie and Issy's old neighbour both had a cancer diagnosis.  Treatment meant they both lost their hair. These girls were very young and highlighted to Ellie and Issy the many different hurdles that a cancer patient has to overcome.  Plaiting and styling hair has been something that Ellie and Issy have enjoyed during their friendship and both of them love their long locks.  It is exciting to have a new hair style and they want children that have lost their hair to experience this again.
