Story

Thank you for visiting the Eager Belvoir's Kilworth Challenge page for 2015.

After a year off we're back for our 4th attempt to win the Challenge hoping that another year older means another year wiser....and not slower!

The Kilworth Challenge is about to enter its twenty-fifth year, in which time over £1.1M has been raised for children's charities across the country. 42 teams of 4 will cover 30 miles of steepling countryside, stopping every so often to complete 35 events that will challenge the participant’s mental and physical prowess far beyond anything experienced before. If you want any additional insight into what can only be described as ‘The Krypton Factor on steroids” then please visit the Challenge Website.

Aiden and Norm finally goaded each other into entering a team in 2010 after quite a few years helping out marshaling this event. Both tricked a friend into joining them and together they make up the Eager Belvoirs - a name that harps back to the glory days of the Belvoir Amateur Rowing Club where the team previously achieved infamy in the rowing world.

Your support in making it all worthwhile would be hugely appreciated....and to compound their passionate pleas for your hard earned cash, and to highlight how seriously the Challenge takes its fundraising effort, every penny you donate will score the team more points and give them a head start in their ridiculous ambition of winning the Challenge at the fourth attempt.

…and in case you were wondering who’s who in the photo, clockwise from the top left we have Team Mascot -Tim Grossey, ‘Fat man’- Phil Cooper, the brains of the operation – Aiden Ellis and the only strawberry blonde in the village – Norman Byrd.
