This year we have chosen to raise money for East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity, specifically the Neonatal Unit at the Lister Hospital.

The guys there do an amazing job and also it has a very special place in one of our rider's hearts .....

Peter's wife was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 10. She was lucky to have survived treatment which included extensive radiotherapy, chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant and was told she wouldn't be able to have children.

After a few failed pregnancies Peter's first daughter, Brooke, was born 13 weeks early, weighing a tiny 2lbs. After three months on the Neonatal Unit at the Lister Hospital, Brooke was ready to come home. One week before her due date.

Three years later, Peter's wife fell pregnant again, by complete surprise, with baby Beth. Beth, like Brooke, was born three months prematurely and received amazing care on the Neonatal Unit at the Lister Hospital.

Each year, East and North Herts Hospitals' Charity raises funds to enhance patient care for people like us. With your support, we can raise the valuable funds needed to enable them to purchase additional equipment and items to further enhance the fantastic care the staff provide.
